Wood alone does not make an exhibition stand a Green Stand. In addition to the already existing “Green Meetings & Events” certificates, there has been a certification in Austria since 2017 for trade fair construction according to the guidelines of the Austrian Ecolabel by the Ministry of Life. This allows companies to present themselves with an authentically carbon-neutral and sustainable exhibition stand.
One of the main points of the guidelines for a Green Stand is the certification of exhibition stand builders, promoting sustainable production. Additionally, it is important to avoid PVC and recycle single-use carpets.
At the heart of a Green Stand is the use of sustainable wood materials. The Wood Design Expo Systems from EECS are considered Green Stands because our oak posts and crossbars allow companies to exhibit on a sustainable stand made from composite oak.
The use of environmentally friendly and reusable prints completes a sustainable trade fair presence, allowing companies to present themselves differently at various events without always having to resort to new resources.
Lastly, a Green Stand must have a mobility concept behind it. EECS has succeeded in developing a patented plug-in system. Therefore, our wood systems are modular, reusable, and sustainable.
Thanks to our Green Stands, companies can now finally represent an authentically sustainable image at trade fairs and meet all sustainability challenges.
